"Pressed Flower Workshop"
Linda Cedarbaum and Montse Lopez-Vila, Members
Learn the art of pressed flower design. While your gardens are in full swing, preserve petals, flowers and leaves between pages to use in your designs. What a great way to practice the remembrance of things past!
Non-members are welcome to attend and learn about
becoming a member.
For over 80 years the Garden Club of Woodbridge, Connecticut has been giving residents of Woodbridge and its surrounding areas a great opportunity to come together to learn and share their interests in all things relating to gardening. We welcome the novice as well as the accomplished gardener and our programs appeal to individuals with a wide array of interests. The Club decided early in its history to concentrate its efforts in civic improvement toward landscaping and beautifying the center of town. This is still the club’s purpose today but we now have expanded our beautification throughout the town and we include floral design, flower shows, horticultural therapy, bird life and conservation activities. We have designed, planted and still maintain many town gardens; the the Darling House Herb Garden, the Massaro Butterfly garden,The Center Garden at the Library and the Adella Baldwin Stuart Garden at the corner of Meetinghouse Lane and Center Road. Our member, Leslie Martino designed The Memorial Garden at the Woodbridge Fire Department and The Garden Club of Woodbridge GCW financially supported this project. Recently added is the Vegetable Garden at the Senior Center with the vegetables and herbs donated to the Senior Center for Tuesday and Thursday lunches.
Sadly, all Garden Club of Woodbridge group activities are at a halt in order for us to adhere to the necessary guidelines during this Covid-19 Pandemic.
Stay Safe Everyone.
Looking Forward to getting the vaccine and being
back to normal.
We were so fortunate to have Pat Croasmun continue the work of The Civic Beautification Group to maintain the various municipal garden throughout Woodbridge observing strick public health requirements.
